It's quite easy to find a motor trade insurance quote. What is more complicated is to find the one that is the perfect one for us. One needs to consider many different things and research well before making a decision.

It's important to think about the cost, what is covered, what would we have to pay in case of an accident. Sometimes the motor trade insurance quote we get looks great superficially, but when we break down every single clause, it actually will be more expensive or cover less than what we need.

Or sometimes a good company changes hands and we are left with a new policy that is not exactly what we want or expected.

Regardless of the fact that we don't have any accidents on our record, we had our fair share of problems with an insurance company. One big disaster comes to mind, when a few years back we renewed our car insurance with the same broker we had for some time, just to learn one year after that we had been driving without insurance. He had cashed the check but had never put the policy trough, although he sent us all the papers as if we were really insured. This was an horror story that was discovered only when our car was hit from the back and my husband needed to make a claim.

What worried us even more was the fact that we had done our homework before deciding to go with that particular broker. We had checked and asked people about the services, we had researched the company and found nothing that would tip us to what happened later on. When we got our quote from him, we read it from top to bottom and checked all the fine print. Still, things didn't work that well.

Suffice to say, our next motor trade insurance quote was even more researched and we decided to go with a reputable company, that offered good rates and great coverage. We even added our home insurance and received a discount for it.

The important thing to remember is that when we get a motor trade insurance quote we still need to research and do our homework to make sure that we are getting all the coverage we need or want for the quote price we get. Sometimes we do, sometimes we don't. But at least we have some numbers to guide us trough the whole processs.
